Cotton Care

Cotton is classic for a reason. It’s comfortable, it’s relatively low maintenance, + without it, we wouldn’t have some of our favorite essentials. From our Simple Waffle Bathrobes to our Essential Cocktail Napkins, is there anything cotton can’t do? When we find out, we’ll let you know.

HOW SHOULD I WASH MY COTTON PIECES?

Always wash cotton pieces with cold water to avoid the possibility of shrinkage. Hot water is a major no-no. Because cotton will stretch when wet + shrink when dry, be sure to reshape after washing, or lay flat to dry. Never use bleach or fabric softeners, which will minimize their ability to absorb moisture in the future. When it comes to smoothing things out, only our table linens are safe to iron.

WHY ARE THERE BLEACHED LOOKING SPOTS ON MY TOWELS? I DON'T USE BLEACH.

Spotting is likely due to a bath or apothecary product with chemicals being transferred onto the towels during regular use. These products can affect the dyes in the towels, causing not-so-cute spotting, so try to avoid contact when possible.
