Section 1 - What information do we collect?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and account information. You may also be required to provide financial information before placing an order through our Website. We may also collect general location information, and inference information about your use of our Website and the internet.
Further, we may collect and maintain records and copies of your correspondence if you contact us, if you respond to contest entries, and details of the transactions you carry out through our Website and of the fulfillment of your orders.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns using automated data collection. Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Shopify’s ability to use or disclose your personal information is governed by their Data Processing Addendum.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, damage, theft, alteration or disclosure. These measures shall be appropriate to the harm which might result from any unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, damage or theft of personal information and appropriate to the nature of the personal information which is to be protected.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify collects and stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Google Analytics:
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports (non-personally identifiable) services traffic. Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our Website and what pages are being looked at. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Website. This data is shared with other Google services and in accordance with Google Analytics’ Data Processing Amendment. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
You can opt-out of having made your activity on the services available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

If we have sent you a promotional email, you may also unsubscribe at the bottom of the email correspondence. Section 8 - Age of Consent and Children under the Age of 13

This California section supplements the information contained in our privacy policy above and is adopted to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) 2018, Cal. Civil Code Section 1798.100 et. seq., as amended, and related regulations, as may be further amended from time to time (“CCPA Policy”). This CCPA Policy applies solely to visitors, users, consumers and/or others who reside in the State of California (“Consumers”). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this CCPA Policy. All other capitalized terms shall have the same meaning as those designated in the privacy policy above. “Selling” or “Sharing” of Personal Information
Hawkins may “share” your Personal Information, as defined under CCPA, to marketing software providers to use for cross-contextual behavioral advertising. The categories of Personal Information shared include your identifiers, commercial information, internet and other electronic identifiers, and inference information.
Hawkins does not have actual knowledge that it shares Personal Information of consumers under the age of 16. If you are between 13 and 16 years of age, you must authorize us to sell or share your Personal Information. If you are under 13 years of age, your parent or guardian must authorize us to sell or share your Personal Information.
You have a Right to Opt-Out of the sharing of your Personal Information by us at any time. You can submit a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information by going to this link or by emailing or calling us as described in the “Exercising Your Rights” Section below. The Right to Opt-Out is subject to exemptions under the CCPA and other limitations under applicable law.
Consumer Rights under CCPA
The CCPA provides consumers with specific rights regarding their Personal Information. This section explains how those rights may be exercised.
- Consumers have the right to request to certain information about our collection and use of Personal Information (the “Right to Know”) or access to specific pieces of personal information (“Specific Request to Know”). Consumers may only submit two requests per a twelve-month period.
- Consumers have the right to request correction of inaccurate Personal Information (“Right to Correct”) maintained by Hawkins.
- The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information (“Right to Opt-Out”). To exercise this right, please visit this link or through one of the methods outlined below.
- Consumers have the right to request deletion of Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions (the “Right to Delete”). Once we receive a request and confirm the consumer’s identity we will review the request to determine if an exception allowing us to retain the information applies.
- We will not discriminate against consumers for exercising CCPA rights including refusing Services or offering different pricing models. However, we may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the CCPA that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels. Any CCPA-permitted financial incentive we offer will reasonably relate to your Personal Information’s value and contain written terms that describe the program's material aspects. Participation in a financial incentive program requires your prior opt-in consent, which you may revoke at any time. We currently provide 15% off for providing your email address for marketing communications.
How To Exercise Rights Under CCPA
As January 1, 2023 California consumers or authorized agents may submit a request in one of the following ways:

If you’re making a request as an Authorized Agent, please submit the request on behalf of the individual and provide proof that the individual provided you signed permission to submit the request. We may also require other identity confirmation.
When submitting a request under CCPA, we are required to reasonably validate the requestor to appropriately secure Personal Information. If we cannot validate the request or based on the information provided, we will notify the requestor that we are unable to fulfill the request. We will only use Personal Information provided in the request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make it. We will confirm receipt of a request within ten (10) business days. We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to another 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to a verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will detail why we made that decision and provide a cost estimate before completing the request.
