I purchased this basket with the intent of using it as a living room storage caddy for newspapers and magazines and was relieved to discover that 1) it’s so well constructed that it can easily accommodate several tens of pounds without the bottom bulging or seams breaking, and 2) that the material, though coarse, has also been treated so carefully that it’s still soft enough not to damage any towels one might want to store in it instead. Very highly recommended for any in need of a basket on the taller vertical side for wide towels or printed material.
